ZIO & SONS
One of my favorite people (who happens to be my dear cousin) Zio & Sons, is having his debut showcase of furniture and decorative accessories this Thursday May, 17th. He has a great eye and wonderful vintage aesthetic so if you're in NYC stop by his showcase at 264 Bowery Street. Enjoy!

GUIDE TO THE L.E.S.
One of my favorite apartments that I've lived in was right in the heart of Manhattan's Lower East Side at Ludlow and Rivington. With pretty much anything I wanted to get into at arms reach or a few stops away on subway, I was a very happy camper. Margo Ducharme, owner of my go to shopping spot Assembly, shared with Vogue a few of her favorite LES spots and I couldn't agree with her picks more. Read more here...

I HEART ROMAN & WILLIAMS
You may not know their name but your sure as hell know their work: The Breslin, John Dory, the Standard's 18th Floor, The Dutch—yeah that's Roman & Williams. The NYC based design duo's work is always so on point.

GAGA X SUPREME
Lady Gaga Supreme Photoshoot from Terry Richardson on Vimeo.
Didn't see this endorsement coming from Gaga, especially since Supreme doesn't really do anything that cutting edge- but hey we're behind anything that Monster does.

LOVE RULES ALL
Our obsessions have an ebb and flow all their own and at the moment it currently resides in Pamela Love jewelry. The usage of mixed metals, hard and edgy in execution, soft and timeless in concept - The Shop just love everything about her ! Very fortunately I have gotten my hands on a few of the pieces. The heart ring and heart on fire necklace shown here. Oh yeah the brass talon ring was recently picked up at the Fenton Fallon sample sale in Freeman's Alley.
SPRINKLE SOME TRUFFLE ON IT
The truffle egg toast at Inoteca is the most delicious mound of goodness, I do declare. Thick brioche with two eggs sittin' pretty inside, covered with cheese and dripping in truffle oil. Try the homemade strawberry mint bellini to wash it down. God damn I'm salivating just writing this !

FASHION'S NIGHT OUT
Tomorrow The Shop will be hitting up SOHO for Fashion's Night Out. Were looking forward to seeing Vogue editor, Hamish Bowles' cabaret performance at The Rug Company and then going to OAK, because duh that place has the best threads, accessories and best looking clientele. Join us for a night of champagne and dipped fashionistas.
Good thing we recently copped this camo Rag & Bone blazer to wear to their after party !!

PILGRIMAGE
On one of the nicest days in NY summer yesterday The Shop took a stroll down to Orchard and Broome for some retails therapy. Found a few goodies, but by far the highlight were theses Kenzo platform booties found at Pilgrim. The store is a stylist's wet dream - vintage pieces from almost every big fashion house and jewelry, art books and accessories to please almost any style. The owners are two of nicest men with impeccable taste, not to mention hilarious. Now is time to strap these puppies on and strut !

CHOPPIN' IT UP
When in need of a good look, The Shop head to Frank's Chop Shop for the freshest cuts around. Ivan is the man there and watching him cut is somewhat mesmerizing (swoon). We recently came across a cute little promo Nina Sky did with Locks of Love at Frank's, that proves that the spot is not just for dudes. So cruise down to the LES and get fresh !

EN VOGUE
Full of beautiful people, a tatted up hostess and plenty of taxidermy, Freemans is one of the bombest brunch spots around. The Shop shared raised waffles with banana and a poached egg with a roasted tomato and cheese grits. The grapefruit champagne cocktail definitely outdid the Bloody Mary, but c'mon baby free your mind and the rest will follow.

WHAT THE F ?!
We've been gone for way too long, the swing of summer has swept us away but now we are back on solid ground to give you some goodies. So here's a little re-cap:
4th of July was a blast spent on a roof top overlooking the Hudson. At the end of the night I saw Beyonce pop out of a firework, so that was pretty awesome.
Larry Hoover, Big Meech and I recently had a speakeasy crawl in search for the best cocktail on the island. We hit up PDT first, where I had some bacon infused whiskey drink that put a nice little patch of hair on my cleavage. Next was the the Bourgeois Pig (above) where the wine cocktails got us suprisingly effed up and lastly ended at Death and Co where the bartender slapped the mint before placing it in the best damn mint julip ever !
This Tuesday we went to go see the Black Keys at Central Park Summer Stage. Seriously one of the best shows I've seen. Dan Auerbach is so nasty on guitar and Patrick Carney hits the drums insanely hard, plus I kinda love his wierd ticks. The duo produces sounds bigger and better than a full band. Go see them if you can !

Corner of Orchard & Broome
Officially our favorite corner in Manhattan, so much to offer. Good food, good shopping and sexy co-eds dipped from head to toe. Here are our go to spots:
Barrio Chino. Go there for bruch, get a grapefruit margarita and huevos rancheros while you peep the street scene.
Ernest Sewn. Probably what Ralph Lauren's line started off loooking like before it became mainstream. For men and women.
An Choi. I know it's hot, but a grab bucket of prosseco with a veggie veitnamese noodle bowl - c'mon !
Kai D, Tools & Clothing for Artisans. Looks like 1950's blue collar gear, fitted for todays hot hot hipster. Awesome moleskins and vintage wallets here too.

Got Your Balls in a Bunch
As it happens at least once or twice a week from the hours of 1 to 4 a.m we find ourselves getting down on some tasty meatballs at the newly infamous Meatball Shop. Located on Stanton between Orchard and Allen, the Meatball Shop is always poppin, serves beer and wine, is open late and leaves you wanting more. Mark on the dry erase menus everything from what kind of balls you want, what you want them served over or under, if you want them sandwich or slider style....oh yeah and if you want a homemade ice cream cookie sandwhich for dessert. And don't worry, they've heard plenty of ball jokes so make sure you think of a good one before stepping foot in the joint. (Image courtesy of phude)

DAS IS GOOD
Pretzels remind us of biergartens, lederhosen, and goodness. While cruising down B Street in E. Village, The Shop passed by Sigmund's and the doughy smell of crusty pretzels demanded we come inside to test it out. Gruyere with paprika, seven chile and caramel pecan seemed to be the bangers, but with about 10 different types of dip to complement each pretzel, more testing must commence. Oh yeah, they make bomb ass sandwiches on these perfect pretzles too...get some !

MOVE YOUR FEET TO ALPHABEAT
Tonight The Shop will be heading to Santos Party House (after free loading at a few work parties) to shake our ample asses to the sounds of Alphabeat. The Danish Pop group has been making the rounds in the electro indie scene for a while and with the recent help of Lady GaGa, are bursting out of thier britches. Our favortie part about the group, besides thier catchy synthed sounds are the ridiculous lyrics that might make you dumber, but we're from the Bay - we like to get stupid !
