Helmut Lang x Theory = YAY !
Last night I checked out the Theyskens Theory / Helmut Lang store on Mercer in Soho—oh man, I seriously wanted everything in the store. Of course the sumptuous and soft sheer tees were a must, holey cashmere sweaters and leather bags that feel better on your arm than any man could. I've read that this is a 6 month pop up shop, but not sure if that is legit. Either way, go get some dough, pick out some threads, give them your money and stun.
Make sure to check out the sick collection of jewelry, especially the Eddie Borgo stuff, the CFDA winner has a subversive rock-n-roll style that we LOVE !

TURKISH DELIGHT
After a few years of searching, I've finally found my favorite brunch spot in Manhattan. Old car garage converted into a not too pretentious space filled with a mix of antiques and salvaged wood - check. Live music to set the ambiance but not overpower the conversation - check. Bomb ass food to make you linger for hours - oh yeah. Antique Garage in Soho has a menu of turkish meats, cheeses, jams, honeys, flatbreads and more to make your belly smile. My partner in crime for this meal ordered the turkish breakfast sampler, which included all the above. It was a perfect bite no matter what you stuck your fork into. Get it shorty.

LOVE, ADORNED
There's a magical moment that happens when elegance meets efficiency, when purpose or a purposeful tool is so beautiful that it must simply be adorned. A new shop on Elizabeth street, appropriately named Love, Adorned caught my eye last weekend for it's mix of vintage and contemporary tools, accessories and jewelry, for yourself, your home or even the road. After opening a successful jewelry/tattoo shop in the lower east side in 1996, creator Lori Leven has expanded her brand to richly encompass beauty and utility. Some of my favorite pieces are the vintage blankets, leather camera straps, hand painted skulls and of course the hand crafted jewelry. Do your self a favor and get adorned. Visit the shop at www.loveadorned.com.

TAKE MY PICTURE
All in the name of expanding the brand, Levi's opened a temporary "Photo Workshop" in a very large, very cool space down in SOHO on 18 Wooster Street. The stark white loft space has a chalkboard wall with a great selection of vintage cameras to choose from that you can rent for a nominal fee. Bring the camera back and they will develop your prints with the option to print them out on a few bad ass printers that they have. If your afraid your butter fingers will break the precious goods, bring in your own digital files to print out - or better yet set up a nude shoot in one of their professional spaces to freak out the squares. Whatever you're into behind a lens, this space will get it done. (Images Levis/Cool Hunter)
TACO TIME
A very cute taco shop/restaurant/stand, not sure what to call it has recently opened up at 267 Elizabeth Street right below Houston. Senor Tacombi serves tacos out of a VW bus in the middle of what looks like a garage space, while various horchatas can be purchased at the cashiers counter. We love outdoor appeal inside a concrete space however the newcomer has opened to mixed reviews. We say check it out for yourself.

FASHION'S NIGHT OUT
Tomorrow The Shop will be hitting up SOHO for Fashion's Night Out. Were looking forward to seeing Vogue editor, Hamish Bowles' cabaret performance at The Rug Company and then going to OAK, because duh that place has the best threads, accessories and best looking clientele. Join us for a night of champagne and dipped fashionistas.
Good thing we recently copped this camo Rag & Bone blazer to wear to their after party !!
