LANDS END

This weekend we hiked out to where the land ends at the ocean and it was beautiful. Take the hike on San Francisco's coast for yourself here. Taken with Instagram @rosiedargenzio

KEN KEN RAMEN

My new fave restaurant in San Francisco. Ramen, done exceptionally well in a great space.

BURY ME IN DENIM

It's clear we have a denim obsession, that we know. So if you're anything like us come down to the DenimBruin this weekend in San Francisco!

OUTSIDE LANDS

So excited for the lineup at Outside Lands this year! Plus there are an insane amount of breweries onsite, what could better!

SHUCK IT

One of the many pleasures of summer is slurping down briny, fresh oysters. Last week I accompanied the team of One Kings Lane to Hog Island Oysters to help style a shoot and this weekend is the SF Oysterfest in Golden Gate park with Minus the Bear and Young Giant playing. It's like those little aphrodisiacs are calling my name! Perhaps I'll eat too many and go find me a Magic Mike :)

DRINK HERE: BERETTA

You know those cocktails that take about 10 minutes to make but are well worth the wait? Well, I've got another spot to add to the list: Beretta in SF's Mission.

GONE SURFING

Mollusk Surf Shop in San Francisco's Sunset neighborhood is a pure dream, beautifully organized, well-decorated and authentic products and staff.  If you venture over that hood make sure to also visit The General Store for some interior goodies and vintage threads and grab a bite at Outerlands. You will be thoroughly impressed!

SHOP TOUR: CAVALIER

I had the pleasure of stopping by the new shop from designer Jay Jeffers and creative director Michael Purdy, Cavalier in San Francisco. Cavalier takes up the newly remodeled front portion of Jeffers' (a widely celebrated decorator) insanely cool office. The pair were looking for a way to display and have designers source all the amazing goods from their world travels. I especially loved the curated collections of jewelry, decorative accessories and some insane feather skulls by French artist Laurence Le Constant!

Cavalier is at 1035 Post Street, by appointmnet only. (415) 440-7300

MISSION CHEESE

Yesterday for Ma Duke's Day, I took the old battle ax out to Mission Cheese for some wine, cheese, spirited convo and more. I absolutely love this little concrete walled spot in SF's Mission for it's stellar cheese pairing list but especially their "market plate". Simply tell the cheese monger what kind of funky goodness you like and he'll serve you up a plate of gooey surprise!

BAR CRUDO

It's been crazy sunny in SF recently, which means oysters and champagne are in order! Last night I went to Bar Crudo on Divisadero and had some banging kumamotos. I highly recommend anything from the raw or cooked bar—the tuna collar confit also made me a giggly little girl. Not sure if that's normal.

IRONSIDE

I absolutely adore working in the SOMA district of SF, there are so many great restaurants and bars to frequent for lunch and after work. One of my favorites is Ironside, it has a great industrial design along with fab salads, sandwiches and coffee.

THE BAY

We charted a boat, popped some champy and took a ride around the San Francisco Bay.

EATING GOOD IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

My two fav cities Brooklyn and SF have a newish eatery each that I've been wanting to check out, so I thought I'd share the love and get your thoughts. Isa (top image) in Williamsburg is the brainchild of architect turned restaurateur Taavo Somer. He calls the looks "primitive modernism" and I'm loving its rustic glory. San Fran's 25 Lusk (bottom image) is located in and old 1917 smokehouse, updated with a contemporary sleek sexy look. Yeah, yeah the food is supposed be banging at both spots too, don't worry!

SIGHTGLASS COFFEE / SF

I've become quite the coffee addict lately and one of my favorite places to go in San Francisco is Sightglass Coffee. The coffee itself is loving plucked, brewed and poured—while the loft like interiors make you want to stay forever. It's a great place to get some work done, have a first date or just get a major buzz. Perfect!

SPRING FEVER

One of my favorite interior spaces in San Francisco is the store March, on Sacramento Street. It recently underwent a serious remodel and the result is airy and light with a major emphasis on tabletop. They also have a "pantry" of a signature line of jams, vinegars and spices that are beautifully packaged. Check them out at marchsf.com.

100 THINGS TO EAT IN 2012

Once again 7x7 Magazine has come out their list of the "100 Things to Eat Before You Die" in San Francisco and man is it good— it's the kind of list you put on your fridge and gladly knock them off. Above is the Pho Ga from Turtle Tower, which for me might be number 1. Whats yours?

LIVING WITH ART

One of my favorite sites, The Bold Italic, recently did a round up of homes that have been converted into art galleries in San Francisco, that is sure to add another bullet point to your to-do list. Don't let the "home" part fool you, as the article says "they’re skilled curators who’ve created respected destinations for collectors, while welcoming visitors to interact with the artists displaying their work". Check it out.

WHEN THIS ALL STARTED

Here's a banger from another Bay Area band The Soft White Sixties, that I can't stop listening to—it's got a a real rock n' roll vibe that is deserving to be on repeat.

GO YOUR OWN WAY

Really digging indie rock band Geographer. Their album Animal Shapes, which you can download here, has been described as charming and danceable which I totally agree with while adding thoughtful in lyric and production. Proud to back these Bay Area boys.
