SHUCK IT

One of the many pleasures of summer is slurping down briny, fresh oysters. Last week I accompanied the team of One Kings Lane to Hog Island Oysters to help style a shoot and this weekend is the SF Oysterfest in Golden Gate park with Minus the Bear and Young Giant playing. It's like those little aphrodisiacs are calling my name! Perhaps I'll eat too many and go find me a Magic Mike :)

LESSONS FROM ALBERT HADLEY

I've worked as an editor in the shelter world for about 8 years now and have had the pleasure of meeting so many inspiring designers, however decorator Albert Haldey always stood out to me. His designs of course shaped the 20th century but his grace and humility made an equal and profound statement. After his passing I was honored to interview friends and colleagues for a piece on One Kings Lane—the lessons he passed down are ones to live by. Check it out here.
