FILM ME UP
I've just arrived at the amazing Biltmore Hotel for the Design Bloggers Conference, which should be an interesting few days. Hoping to sneak out to take some pics of beautiful downtown LA with film to break up hours of staring at a computer screen. Now which baby to use!

LINE CAUGHT
Any interior stylist or editor knows how important an amazing photographer is to our work—which is why I'm totally in love with Danish photographer Line Klein. Her way with light is so refreshing and elegant, she really captures the essence of a space with a clean simplicity.

COME AND GIVE ME SOME
The above looks are from Balmain's Spring/Summer 2012 collection and are very true to their chic rocker vibe. I can totally see both sexes rocking these looks: skinny pants, tuxedo jackets and vests all mixed with leather details—raaarrwww!

This shot by photog Mark Gregory Peters is so simple and elegant—I adore the desk, stool and pared down styling.

TAKE MY PICTURE
All in the name of expanding the brand, Levi's opened a temporary "Photo Workshop" in a very large, very cool space down in SOHO on 18 Wooster Street. The stark white loft space has a chalkboard wall with a great selection of vintage cameras to choose from that you can rent for a nominal fee. Bring the camera back and they will develop your prints with the option to print them out on a few bad ass printers that they have. If your afraid your butter fingers will break the precious goods, bring in your own digital files to print out - or better yet set up a nude shoot in one of their professional spaces to freak out the squares. Whatever you're into behind a lens, this space will get it done. (Images Levis/Cool Hunter)

WHATS YOUR FANTASY ?
These rad photos by Tim MacPherson, cant help but bring a smile to your face. Ok so maybe we have Peter Pan syndrome at The Shop, but who doesn't want to be a goofball and make forts and ski down your stairs forever ?

Dos Family

Like a breath of fresh air we have recently come across DosFamily, a blog that gives us something to aspire to. A Swedish family that loves curious and eccentric do it yourself oddities while also taking photos of other peoples homes. The photos are very true to life, unfettered and full of creative vignettes that tickle our fancy.
Now time to get our abode decked out !!

Out & About
Being that it was a glorious day in NYC today, we had the chance to spend the majority of the day outside, roaming the streets. Here's what we found...
- Some rad vintage bikes for sale on Bowery and Houston:

- Plenty of reasons to cause ruckus in the city, at Obscura (E. 10th btwn A & B):

- Foxy females enjoying the sunny rays:

"Black Light" by Kehinde Wiley

Here's what Publishers, powerHouse, have to say about it: " In Black Light, his first monograph, Wiley’s larger-than-life figures disturb and interrupt tropes of portrait painting, often blurring the boundaries between traditional and contemporary modes of representation and the critical portrayal of masculinity and physicality as it pertains to the view of black and brown young men. The models are dressed in their everyday clothing, most of which is based on far-reaching Western ideals of style, and are asked to assume poses found in paintings or sculptures representative of the history of their surroundings. This juxtaposition of the “old” inherited by the “new”—who often have no visual inheritance of which to speak—immediately provides a discourse that is at once visceral and cerebral in scope.
