VA VA VEDA / NYC

The little sister to our beloved Reformation, Veda, is having a sample sale this weekend—yay! While it's hard to think of bulking up on luscious leathers you wont be rocking until fall, it will be well worth it.

When: Friday, March 23, from from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, March 24, through Sunday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 412 Broadway, 5th Floor (at Canal Street); No phone.

THE REFORMATION

NYC's Lower East Side is a haven for shopping in independently owned, styled and truly bad ass boutiques—gratefully I lived in the heart of it. The Reformation was my go to, for a night out, special occasion or just had too frozen margaritas next door and needed some retail therapy. Alexa Chung recently did a shopping guide of the area with Lucky magazine and here are some snaps of the occasion.

Reformation

There are times when a new outfit or accessory irrationally seals an anticipating crush or distracts a broken heart. Beautiful tailoring, unique patterns and cuts with a bit of a deconstructed edge.

Here are a few shots I took at the LA shop at 142 N. La Brea Ave (the Manhattan shop in is the LES on Ludlow between Rivington and Stanton):
