FUTURE PERFECT
Mark your calendars for Thursday July 5th, to celebrate the kick off party for San Francisco's three-month art and music festival, Soundwave. One of our favorite zine's The Bold Italic will sponsoring the event at the California Academy of Sciences, which should make for a very fun and very trippy night. Disco/post-punk DJ's, video instillations and interactive instruments may have you swimming with the fishies at the end of the night!

Wicked Winter Wednesday
So after our company xmas party, The Shop will be hitting up Hot Chip's holiday bash and DJ set at Le Poisson Rouge. We'll be shaking fists, asses and Polaroid pictures because it's our tiger, Ms. Divalicious Lauren Webb's birthday ! JG Wilkes of Optimo will also get behind the tables, if you need another reason.

Footloose Friday
Sitting in this glass tower, clicking keys in a horizontal hum drum is doing nothing for this restless spirit. After having the best trip to the Bay Area for a Halloween bash with our Tigers this weekend, our daydreams are a bit counter productive. (Check back for more pics, we left our precious camera in the bay and awaiting it's return.) To keep your thoughts onward and upward here is a nice gig on Friday night that is sure to keep your fancy footwork up to date.Come on, come alll to see Jazzy Jeff and Viking ruin the one's and two's at Webster Hall (I know, I know the crowd can be hit or miss, but you know the music is going to be worth it.) Come say hi to The Shop, we'll be the ones teetering and flailing on the dance floor.

Scratch That Itch
While I plunder through everyday life, a small remedy comes in plucking jems from crates and scurrying home to hear that precious sound that has been bruised by mp3's. This weekend in New Jersey of all places, I found a precocious antique store where I procured some great records: Janet's first two albums, Disco compilation, Roberta Flack (come on, Killing Me Softly original ?!) and Led Zeppelin with a homemade cover.
