TAKE ME AWAY

Tuesday's call for a little escapism, so here is a home comprised of beautiful light soaked rooms featuring ornate crown molding, upholstered velvet furniture and a raw chevron wood floor—I would like to be transported now. images via Sanctuary

A FEW THINGS I'M INSPIRED BY TODAY

Builder Ariele Alasko, in Brooklyn. She makes beautiful chevron pieces out of salvaged wood and is super passionate about her work. Check out her blog brooklyntowest.blogspot.com for more.

The banjo and all it's twangy glory.

                                                        I NEED a bike—this one please.

MADE IN THE USA

Here at The Shop, I try to always buy goods that are made in the US. While it's not always an easy task, it seems to add a thoughtful authenticity to my outfit our home. Here is an industrial inspired stool from Makr Carry Goods that I'm loving. Hand welded steel base with a white walnut seat that is made to order—I'll take 4 please?
