SUCH A GOOD IDEA
Thanks to Design Sponge, I recently came across these Pretty Pegs, which are super cute legs that you can screw onto the bottom of your IKEA furniture to give it a more custom look. Seriously, how has this not been done before! They come in wonderful shapes and colors and are an easy way to spruce up your space.

PODCAST
If you're in LA with some friends that don't live in the area, the rooftop bar of the Standard Hotel in downtown is a great place to take in some views.

RAZZLE DAZZLE
The mix of antiques with this hot pink accent wall is seriously jaw dropping—love the look from designer Jonathan Berger.

BRIGHT LIGHTS
Love, love these neon cord pendants with half chrome bulbs. These are from Earth Sea Warrior's Etsy shop but would also be a pretty easy DIY as well. We've just put a few in The Shop's foyer to spruce it up a bit.

TIMELESS
I've been working as an editor for some very special interior design publications for years now and have been introduced to so many designers I adore and respect—but I guess you never forget your first. Dorothy Draper, while of course I never met her, was one of the first designers I was schooled on and complettely fell in love with. Her use of color, her perfect pairings, it all stands the test of time and continues to inspire— I can only hope to have that legacy one day. Above is the Greenbrier in West Virginia that she designed and I can't imagine anything better.

SIMPLY THE BEST
In my eyes designer Ilse Crawford can do little wrong, perhaps that's why she has made T Magazine's Best of 2011 list with this London restoration project. She manages to make the Gregorian manor liveable and inviting whilst supremely cool.

COLOR ME BAD
For my new apartment I've been dabbling with the idea of bold colors in the public rooms, it can be a bit of a challenge to find the right color outside of the bedroom that will make statement without being too loud. While pink may not be just right, I appreciate good usage of it—take a look at a piece I produced on the fab color used in the perfect way.

BEAUTY QUEEN
I love the rich color and pattern on this Mexican coverlet from l'aviva home. The textile is handcrafted on muslin with cotton embroidery thread by the Otomi Indians and said to be inspired by the wall painting on the cliffs in Hidalgo. I would love to throw this on my bed in the summer months with a simple white sheet underneath.
