MISSION CHEESE

Yesterday for Ma Duke's Day, I took the old battle ax out to Mission Cheese for some wine, cheese, spirited convo and more. I absolutely love this little concrete walled spot in SF's Mission for it's stellar cheese pairing list but especially their "market plate". Simply tell the cheese monger what kind of funky goodness you like and he'll serve you up a plate of gooey surprise!

BAR CRUDO

It's been crazy sunny in SF recently, which means oysters and champagne are in order! Last night I went to Bar Crudo on Divisadero and had some banging kumamotos. I highly recommend anything from the raw or cooked bar—the tuna collar confit also made me a giggly little girl. Not sure if that's normal.

100 THINGS TO EAT IN 2012

Once again 7x7 Magazine has come out their list of the "100 Things to Eat Before You Die" in San Francisco and man is it good— it's the kind of list you put on your fridge and gladly knock them off. Above is the Pho Ga from Turtle Tower, which for me might be number 1. Whats yours?

NOPALITO

For amazing and fresh Mexican food with a heavy nod towards tradition, head to Nopalito in SF's Western Addition—specifically the Totopos con Chile (pictured) are to die for. Hippies can get their rocks off at this spot with all organic and sustainable ingredients but most importantly it's delicious.

This weekend I had a friend visit from NYC for her bday, as well as the usual debauchery I took her to some real deal eats in San Francisco. A few conclusions were made: my new favorite brunch spot is Citizen's Band in SOMA for their soulful menu; the seriously cute and upscale retro diner,  Presidio Social Club has an amazing Crab Louis sandwich and one of the best wiener spots in all the land is Wurst in Healdsburg. You've been warned!
