TRIP TO THE DESERT

So here begins my adventure to Palm Springs for the next few days. First stop was the Ace Hotel, after checking in I ran straight to the pool for a party rocked out by local DJ and some hot co-eds. My room was camp chic, covered is sailing cloth and kept pretty minimal, however admittedly most of my time was spent sippin' Sangria in an inner tube at the pool!

Stay tuned for the next stop!

SIGHTGLASS COFFEE / SF

I've become quite the coffee addict lately and one of my favorite places to go in San Francisco is Sightglass Coffee. The coffee itself is loving plucked, brewed and poured—while the loft like interiors make you want to stay forever. It's a great place to get some work done, have a first date or just get a major buzz. Perfect!

ON DISPLAY

I love this vintage display rack that London based designer Eva Karayiannis keeps her son's shoes in. The beauty owns and designs clothing, interiors, etc...for her kiddie label Caramel Baby & Child. The current NYT have some great pics of her at home.

Dos Family

Perusing design magazines is one of our beloved hobbies, however we've found the static styling and lifeless approach to some of these mags leaving something to be desired. Except for perhaps Wallpaper* and World of Interiors, the photography feels very flat and a bit too commercial.
Like a breath of fresh air we have recently come across DosFamily, a blog that gives us something to aspire to. A Swedish family that loves curious and eccentric do it yourself oddities while also taking photos of other peoples homes. The photos are very true to life, unfettered and full of creative vignettes that tickle our fancy.
Now time to get our abode decked out !!

Simplicity

There is something so alluring about a neutral backdrop of interiors, laced with a great piece of art...accentuating the sensual nature of simplicity.
