I was young and dumb and I took you for granted. I looked at you everyday and never took the time to appreciate how you had helped define me, how you forced me to pick a stance and a style all my own. I thought I had a firm grip on how to dive right into you, yet unbenounced you were the buoyant force whisking me from one water to the next. I look back on your salty seas and smile, because now I can see you were the one all the while.
