Anica has become one of the Cabinet ladies' favorite boutiques in SF. Rati, the sexiest retailer we know, stocks the racks with Leyendecker, Vena Cava, Opening Ceremony, Karen Walker and many more. Recently she has joined forces with the super powers that were behind Mixed Use to bring a vintage night every Thursday and a sale this weekend....shhhhhhhhhh!
We hail from a long line of cabinet makers and movers and shakers. Our passion resides in stocking the shelves with fresh finds. Take a gander and stay for a while...

The Great Outdoors
For some reason this image reminds us of that scene in Ace Ventura when he got punched out to count the stones in dudes ring, but thats not the point. The point is that Zelda Beauchampet has created these genius rings that create a landscape on your fist. They come in various serious of three and make a fun statement. If only we could get her to make one of the SF skyline... Thanks to Charles and Marie for this bundle of joy.
Pocket Full Of Pearls And A Cup Full Of Lean
Yea yea, we know Bay to Breakers is this weekend but one should always keep their options open, so we are giving a heads up to SF's Oyster Fest. We aren't particularly fond of oysters, however She and Him are performing and thought it might tickle your fancy.
Meeting Of The Minds

The Cabinet Shop will be heading to NY this weekend for ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair). We are excited to see all the big guns show their new goods but most excited to view what the newer designers, such as Paul Loebach (image above), have in store. Best believe we will keep you posted with what we find...

We're Mel And She's Alice
We've got a crush on Vintage Society. She pulls together current trends with thrifty finds seamlessly and shows great examples for any type of occasion. We must say were quite smitten...
Old School Techniques
Quoddy Trail is a company that has been making hand made moccasins for nearly a century. Coming from a crew that regularly sports moccasins, trust they are uber comfy and add just the right twist to any fit. Many more styles on the site...

This Is Not A Chair
The CCA teamed up with a few big sponsors to unveil the final creations from a class focusing on "Sustainable Furniture"; some innovative and fun designs resulted. Our favs are a felt and plastic chair and the above winner - the chair with its recyclable trash guts on display. Bevara Design House has agreed to curate the ongoing CCA series on environmental and space conscious design, along with Wal-Mart ultimately manufacturing the winning design. For some reason we see this piece taking the place of Kanye's stuffed animal chair in his house.
Icon Man
Robert Rauscenberg, one of the most prolific American artists of our time, passed away last night. His work has forever changed the art game and has always spoke to us. He did not let just one medium define or constrain him, nor ever played it safe. We hope his life, his work and his philosophy can serve as an inspiration to all you artist out there. The Times has a great piece on the master.
A Cap Of One's Own
Virgina Wolfe was looking for a room...we're just looking for a good hat. The Shop is not meaning to trivialize Ms.Wolfe, just here to stock our cabinets full of the freshest and today that comes in the form of Ecapcity. The boys of the Shop are in a frenzy, ordering a gaggle of new caps to shade their precious faces from today's heat. Check out the new site for custom New Era, Vintage NBA/NFL/NHL and many more brands.
Lens Crafter
Looking like they could have been captured in any small town, Swedish photographer Lars Tunbjork's images are quite striking yet have an air of familiarity to them. They are awkward, mundane, beautifully simple and tongue in cheek...just what the doctor ordered.

History Lesson
We're not really trying to promote MTV because its mostly filled with too many crap "reality" shows and not enough videos, however we are feeling reminiscent with Yo! MTV Raps celebrating its 20th Anniversary. Showing their top 10 episodes on the site and other interviews, its worth checking out and subsequently bumping Craig Mack's "Flava In Ya Ear".Everyday They're Hustlin'
We have been listening to the new Kidz In The Hall album, The In Crowd, all weekend and we're loving the Chi town duo's new record. Sounding a bit here like Lupe and a bit there like The Cool Kids, the new album is full of familiar samples and sounds ridiculous in a system - all together a good time.

We Like Fast Cars
Monday reminds us nothing more of wanting to get in a fast car...which also reminds us how awesome Tracy Chapman is.... sorry sidetracked. So while imagining our getaway car, two things came to mind: the new Ford Mustang Bullitt and Top Gear. The Mustang Bullitt didn't really do it for us...so we arrive at the latter. Top Gear is currently one of our favorite shows, it airs on BBC and shows everything from a bad ass test drive of the Bugatti Veyron to an Aston Martin DB9 racing a train and our favorite: driving the world's smallest production car through the cubicles of BBC's corporate office.
